Can clients read my PHP source code?

No. Your PHP source is encrypted with AES-256-GCM encryption and compiled to a native binary. The encoded file is completely unreadable without the Ex-Guard Loader and a valid license.

Minimal. The loader decrypts files at compile time only. Once compiled, PHP executes normally. With OPcache enabled, decoded files are cached and the loader overhead is negligible.

Ex-Guard supports PHP 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, and 8.5 on both Windows (.dll) and Linux (.so). Support for PHP 7.4 and 8.1 is experimental.

You can still re-encode your files with a new key, as long as you have the original source. There is no way to extract the key from an encoded file.

Yes, if you have access to php.ini and can install PHP extensions. Some shared hosts do not allow custom extensions — check with your hosting provider.
