As providers of the Ex-Guard website, online activation & licensing portal, member area, and other facilities that may be made available from time to time (collectively termed the “Service”), we regard the privacy of our members' data as crucial to all concerned. This statement reflects our sincere commitment to providing a secure and safe Service and environment for every member.

Information Gathering and Use

The Service gathers and keeps only the minimal information necessary to provide a reasonable and satisfactory service. Members' information will not be imparted in any form, whether for profit or otherwise, in ways different from those disclosed in this statement. We may use the contact information you supply through the Service to contact you with pertinent information relating to your account or usage of the Service.

Marketing Consent

We offer opt-in for contact with relevant marketing information including special offers. You can adjust your consent at any time from your account profile or via the unsubscribe link provided in any marketing email you receive from us.

Personal Rights of EU Citizens Under GDPR

  • Right of access — we provide a member area where you can view your account information, previous orders and licensed machines. Contact us if there is something you want to know that does not appear within your member area.
  • Right to be forgotten — should you require your data to be purged, contact us and we will be happy to assist with the request.
  • Request for correction — the same member area allows you to edit much of your information. If you find an item that cannot easily be corrected, let us know and we will assist.
  • Objection to processing — we do not use automated decision making or profiling processes that take a final decision on how we view or use your data. If you have any concerns, please contact us.

Information for Online Purchases

For your security, information gathered and processed for effecting a purchase is handled on a secure server by a third party specialising in payment processing. Processing information is returned to the Service for the purposes of order matching; no credit/debit card numbers or expiry dates are stored by the Service.

The Use of Cookies

The Service uses a cookie to establish and authenticate a private session between a member and the Service. Cookies cannot be used to obtain any information from your computer other than that which was stored in the cookie by the Service in the first place. The cookie is invalidated when you log out of the Service.

Transaction and Log Files

Web server log files are kept for the purpose of analysing patterns of usage and detecting problems with, or attacks on, the Service. Log files contain the IP address of website visitors, which may be used for ensuring secure, uninterrupted and correct operation of the site. Transaction logs are kept for the purpose of detecting site problems and restoring accurate state in the event of site failure.

Security of Your Source Code

The Ex-Guard encoder is an offline desktop/CLI tool — your PHP source code never leaves your machine. When you use the online Service for activation, only your hardware ID, license code and application version are transmitted, and all communication is protected over an encrypted connection. We do not upload or store your source code.
